hernan cortés got to mexico to colonize it and succeeded. he and his men robbed the aztecs, tortured them in order to get information as to where “the treasure was” (the treasure being gold), assaulted them, raped them and disrespected all they knew and had. they got to the city to impose their beliefs, their language and their culture. and whoever disagreed with them was killed or made into slaves. spain colonized mexico for ages. they felt as if they were gods sent to earth and abused, belittled and murdered in cold blood using their entitlement as justification. so don’t ever say to me that spanish people are people of color because they are not.
