Dizzee and Thor are so genuinely romantic with each other and it’s so beautiful and healing to see that. Dizzee starting to draw comics just to tell the get down story to Thor while Thor was in prison? Romantic. The first person Thor wanting to see after he got out of prison being Dizzee? Romantic. Thor lamenting “I miss you” with that yearn in his voice when he was still in prison? Romantic. Thor immediately going to see Dizzee perform after he got free? Romantic. Dizzee dropping the mic and walking toward Thor in a haze, a trance, an enchanted state? Romantic. Dizzee envisioning a space with just him and Thor, and Thor asking him if he’s ever been in love, and Dizzee saying yes, and Thor asking how it ended, and Dizzee replying that he hopes it hasn’t ended? Romantic. His vision!Thor saying “I have to wake you up” and Dizzee pleading him to keep him safe? Romantic. Thor being Dizzee’s safe place? Romantic. Thor cradling Dizzee’s face in his arms while he tried to help him and saying “give him space” with desperation in his voice? Romantic. Dizzee making a thank you comic for Thor? Romantic. Dizzee going to see Thor and not wanting anyone else to find out about it? Romantic. Dizzee and Thor holing up in the pier and painting each other’s bodies and the walls and themselves and laughing and giggling and philosophizing? Romantic. Dizzee and Thor painting the Bronx together? Romantic. 

They are so utterly in love. It’s incredible. I wish we got to see more of them and of this world they’ve created for themselves. It’s a beautiful way of articulating what LGBT people and same-gender couples have to do to survive - create and live in their own worlds, free of harm and pain and outside intrusions.
